Clinicians

How do I start getting funded by pharma to do research studies? Pharma companies typically target therapeutic experts well known in their field that already have published work and present at meetings on disease topics – but where did they start? Investigator initiated trials (IIT’s or IIS’s) can be a great way to start or continue clinical research.  ProposalGate helps to identify, filter, and keep you updated on who’s funding what work.  We also comb investor updates and investigate what types of work pharma might be interested in funding.  Once you have the clinical research ball rolling, it’s easier to keep that momentum.  Grab a cup of coffee, do some filtering, and let’s think about what kinds of studies you might be interested in!

Clinician Profiles

Creating your research CV is different from your academic or clinical CV.  It’s important to highlight what work you’ve done that’s relevant, but you also should highlight your institutional capabilities – certain patient populations or data you have access to which will help you identify and recruit patients to your study.

  • Be sure to note if you have a clinical trials office that may expedite your IRB or contracting processes.
  • Highlight specific therapeutic interests and keep an open mind to adjacent areas.  Include availability percentages for clinical research and if you have them available, other faculty that may help your study succeed.
